The Arts Education Projects you see here reflect how the arts come to life through schools, artists, and community organizations. These projects support a variety of teaching and learning opportunities for preschool through high school students. Framed by the Core Arts Standards, the projects reach diverse students, encourage community partnerships, and nurture student development through creativity.
Summer Institute for Piano and Strings

Any student that plays a stringed instrument or piano in SE Idaho is eligible to rehearse and perform in ISU’s state-of-the-art Jensen Grand Concert Hall.

BCT Theater Lab

Working with students to create new works of theater through writing, acting, movement, and voice training.

ARTworks Education Program

Using The Art Museum of Eastern Idaho’s exhibits as a basis for outreach and classroom education.

Writers in the Schools

Employing poets, novelists, journalists, and playwrights to teach in schools and juvenile detention centers with grades 3–12.

School Tours with Transportation

8,000 students and their teachers experience a tour at the Boise Art Museum through the Free School Tour Program with Transportation Reimbursement.

Future Design Academy

Offering gifted students a hands-on STEAM’d experience through six full days of integrated learning at the REUSEUM in Boise.

High Country Strings

An affordable, weekly, extracurricular strings program for Valley County youth.

Education at ARTitorium on Broadway

Field trips, art classes, and family programs at ARTitorium, and matinee performances at the Colonial Theater in Idaho Falls.
