Art is a business. Or can be. An art career requires talent, preparation, relationships, proper presentation and productive and steady marketing. Treating your art career as a “business” means articulating what you want (goals) and creating the step-by-step plans to get you there.
Arts Idaho is partnering with the Coeur d’Alene Arts and Culture Alliance and Emerge to present this information-packed, half-day workshop offering insights and action steps that could help you to take your career to the next level.
Facilitator McLean Emenegger, of McLean Art Projects in Los Angeles, employs her multifaceted art world experience in her teaching and art career consulting work. She has curated for multiple institutions in California and also worked in the art publication field. As an independent curator, her projects have been reviewed in the Los Angeles Times, Artweek, Artscene, Review Magazine, The Huffington Post among others. She is also a visual artist.
