Anderson Center
The Anderson Center is located at the historic Tower View estate in Red Wing, Minnesota. Situated on 330 acres near the picturesque bluffs of the Mississippi River, it is the largest artist community in Minnesota and the second largest in the Upper Midwest. Each year, from May through October, the Center makes available private time and space to some 45 artists, writers, and scholars from the United States and abroad. Residencies, which include meals and lodging at the Center, are for two weeks to one month, during which time resident-fellows are expected to work on a clearly defined project and to make a substantive contribution to the community in the form of a talk, class, or performance of their work.
