America 250 Call for Applications
The Idaho State Historical Society (ISHS) announces two opportunities aligned to the America250 in Idaho commemoration, a statewide effort to advance the ideals of the American Revolution – equality, liberty, and justice – through meaningful community engagement and to recognize, appreciate, and commemorate Idaho’s journey in America’s legacy. The available opportunities are highlighted below:
Grant Program Highlights:
- Funding from $5,000 to $25,000 with a 10% match requirement (cash or in-kind).
- Funding supports capital, accessibility, sustainability, preservation, and educational projects.
- Open to Idaho non-profits and tribal and local governments.

Oral History Initiative:
- Provides access to an oral history software subscription, TheirStory, Inc. The program does not provide funding.
- Open to Idaho non-profits, tribal, federal, state, and local government, universities and K-12 schools, and for-profit businesses.

These opportunities support Idaho’s America250 commemorative efforts, and projects will become part of the commemoration’s lasting legacy for future generations.
