The Idaho State Historical Society (ISHS) announces two opportunities aligned to the America250 in Idaho commemoration, a statewide effort to advance the ideals of the American Revolution – equality, liberty, and justice – through meaningful community engagement and to recognize, appreciate, and commemorate Idaho’s journey in America’s legacy. The available opportunities are highlighted below:

Grant Program Highlights: 

  • Funding from $5,000 to $25,000 with a 10% match requirement (cash or in-kind). 
  • Funding supports capital, accessibility, sustainability, preservation, and educational projects.  
  • Open to Idaho non-profits and tribal and local governments.

Oral History Initiative: 

  • Provides access to an oral history software subscription, TheirStory, Inc. The program does not provide funding.  
  • Open to Idaho non-profits, tribal, federal, state, and local government, universities and K-12 schools, and for-profit businesses.  
  • Specific details regarding project eligibility and deliverables, administrative fees, and application timeline are available here.

These opportunities support Idaho’s America250 commemorative efforts, and projects will become part of the commemoration’s lasting legacy for future generations.
