Please read! This page gives you an overview of how to manage your Arts Idaho grant.
By accepting your grant funds, you acknowledge that you will implement the funded project in full accordance with the US Constitution, federal law, and public policy requirements including, but not limited to, those protecting free speech, religious liberty, public welfare, and the environment, and those prohibiting discrimination (§ 200.300). Also, you must ensure that you implement the project in full accordance with all applicable Executive Orders to the extent permitted by law.
Review the LEGAL REQUIREMENTS of the Grant Guidelines for a list of applicable federal laws and executive orders.
Documenting your work as you go (not just at the end) will help when you file your final report. Reports vary by grant category but typically require estimates of attendance numbers, locations of project activities, expense records, images or other media, and so on.
Familiarize yourself with your report requirements in the WebGrants portal: This will help you gather relevant information along the way (and also not gather too much).
We may share your work on social media or in printed materials. The Commission does not collect royalties or hold copyrights to artistic products resulting from its grants; however, it has legal authority to use or reproduce with credit, images for nonprofit, official, promotional, or educational purposes.
Acknowledgment of Arts Idaho and the NEA must be prominently displayed in all materials and announcements related to award activities.
A basic requirement is a phrase acknowledging support using the following language: “This project is supported in part by the Idaho Commission on the Arts and the National Endowment for the Arts.”
In addition, we encourage you to use the Arts Idaho and the NEA’s current logo whenever possible. You may use social media to indicate support of your project using the following language: “This project is supported in part by the Idaho Commission on the Arts and the National Endowment for the Arts.” You may also include the NEA and Arts Idaho in a list of project supporters.
On social media platforms, you may use @NEAarts @artsidaho instead of spelling out the full name of the agencies.
For radio, television, and streaming audio and/or video broadcast, use the following required voice-over language: “This project is supported in part by the Idaho Commission on the Arts and the National Endowment for the Arts. On the web at arts dot idaho dot gov and arts dot gov.” For television or streaming video broadcast, you must display the logos for both agencies and the URL’s.
The Idaho State Legislature makes funding allocations to the Idaho Commission on the Arts, a state agency under the Office of the Governor. This funding directly supports your grant.
It is important that elected officials understand the impact arts funding has in their districts; the best way for them to know is to hear from you! To that end, we require you as a grantee to write at least one letter to a state senator or state representative AND a letter to the Governor to share the impact your grant had on you, your organization and/or your community. These letters are extremely effective in helping elected officials understand the return on the state’s investment in the arts and arts education.
These are not fundraising or “ask” letters but simply reflections on the effect that receiving arts funding from the state had on your organization and community. A copy of your letter is a required part of your Final Report.

Grantees are required to submit a final report which must be approved for the grantee to remain eligible for future funding.
Final reports for grant period July 1, 2025 – June 30, 2026 are due July 31, 2026.
