Making Connections

Making Connections was held on the campus of the University of Idaho in Moscow. Evening events included an evening of Nez Perce music and songs, a reading by author William Johnson, a performance of Biloxy Blues, and a visit to the Third Street gallery to view the paintings of artist Helen G. Wilson.

ArtsPowered Schools provided opportunities for all participants to gain knowledge and skills in:

  • Arts disciplines and the creative process
  • Making connections to school goals and student learning
  • Access to arts education resources
  • Continued networking

Participants reported that the sessions helped them see the connections of the arts across the curriculum, gained an understanding of arts education resources throughout Idaho, and reported that they will be able to incorporate ideas gained during the ArtsPowered Institute in their classrooms.

24 out of 24 participating teachers stated that they would like to return next summer!
